Periodontal Disease and the Arsenic Connection

One of the major problems facing dentists today is how to accurately evaluate the dental patient with chronic periodontal problems who presents a plethora of blood tests and multiple consultation reports with no definitive diagnosis.

For years both healthcare practitioners and the public have been led to believe that blood tests represent the gold standard for establishing a diagnosis. My 45 years of clinical practice has opened my eyes to the fact that blood tests do not reveal the underlying cause(s) of the patient’s problem. In fact, some routine testing is very misleading. For example, the TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) test that is supposed to monitor thyroid function has no scientific validity for its accuracy. The PSA (prostate specific antigen test) is just another example. Fifty percent of the men who had cancer had levels below the so called normal of 4. When all is said and done, abnormal readings only represent an indicator that something is not in balance but does not reveal the actual underlying cause(s).

Options for making a real time diagnosis do exist. When properly applied, Quantum or energetic testing will reveal causative factors. A case in point was a 29 year-old female patient who presented with severe bone loss that caused the loss of three posterior molar teeth. All conventional blood testing, visual examinations, X-ray surveys and medical/dental consultations produced no answers. In addition, the patient presented with problems of fatigue, weight loss, low body temperature and overall not feeling well.

With the aid of the Quantum Testing technique, it was discovered that the patient had arsenic poisoning. Interestingly when the patient’s blood was tested for arsenic content, it showed an extremely high level. The source of the arsenic was pesticides from her vegetarian diet. Physiologically arsenic impairs folate metabolism preventing healing. Also chronic arsenic exposure results in bone marrow hypoplasia or breakdown. Without Quantum testing this 29 year-old female patient would have lost all her teeth and experienced a deterioration of her general health.

Treatment focused on use of nutritional supplements to chelate out the arsenic and rebuild the bone in the patient’s jaw. Within one month of implementing the nutritional program the patient’s bone density improved by 70%. Following one year of diet modification, which included animal protein and food based natural supplements, the patient’s periodontal structures (teeth, bones and gums) healed, her fatigue vanished and her sense of well being was restored.

Defining the problem is prerequisite to establishing a custom protocol for reversing the problem. Without a definitive diagnosis, this periodontal issue would continue unabated with a dismal result. Dental practitioners have a golden opportunity to change their patient’s lives. Use of the Quantum Testing technique provides practitioners the necessary diagnostic skills. Conventional medicine cannot come close to the accuracy of Quantum Testing plus use of pharmaceuticals only mask symptoms without a cure.
