21 Years Post Concussion Symptoms Resolved in One Treatment
Andrew Adams suffered chronic severe headaches since December of 1995. While at a professional hockey game, he was hit on the top of his head from a broken panel of glass that shattered at rink side. Andrew was incapacitated and unable to work for four months. In addition to the 24/7 headaches, Andrew would experience excruciating head pain when the weather would change. Andrew was treated by numerous headache/pain centers with no lasting results. All pain medications, botox, and imitrex injections did not resolve his headaches. On Monday, August 14, 2017, Andrew was examined in my office. He was diagnosed with a trauma induced cranial distortion that was the direct result of his 1995 incident.
Treatment consisted of a comprehensive cranial adjustment. The process took one hour. At the end of the adjustment session, Andrew stated that his headaches of 21‑1/2 years duration resolved. On August 21, 2017, exactly one week later, Andrew was seen in my office. Andrew stated that he has been headache free since the initial adjustment. In addition, several storms had occurred during the one week post-treatment period and Andrew stated that he did not experience on headache from the barometric pressure change. Of interest Andrew stated that all his friends had stated that he looks younger and more at peace since his treatment.
Concussion is a complex medical issue. The sequelae go beyond the swelling, bruising, bleeding and possible damage to the brain tissue. Doctor Smith who has been a pioneer in the field of dental cranial distortions has recognized that there is a structural component to concussion that has not been previously diagnosed. The key component to head trauma is the fact that the basic motion of the skull becomes reversed hampering the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and increased tension in the dural membrane system. The later issue is the cause for the constant pain and the former, distorted skull motion, is responsible for the mental fog, poor memory, fatigue and other symptoms related to concussion.
